Tom is an excellent coach and was with me for every step of writing my book. With his help, I was able to stay on track and complete my first draft. His encouraging approach, combined with tough accountability, helped me push through when I was blocked and develop the ideas and concepts I wanted to express to my readers. If you’re looking for a coach to help you hit your goals, keep you inspired, and get you to to the finish line, Tom is the coach to hire.

Coaching has one purpose—optimal performance.

Coaches motivate and inspire, guide and correct, sing the praises and crack the whip, and push you to achieve more than you ever thought possible.

The best coaches focus on three skills you need to master to achieve excellence:

Self-discipline

Attentiveness

Adaptability

Like any athlete determined to reach the top of his or her game, a writer must develop and maintain a routine, pay attention to what helps and what hinders his or her progress, and adapt accordingly.

Like a sports coach, a writing coach provides the structure, constructive feedback, and steady pressure you, the writer, need to start, slog through, and finish your project.

In addition, a writing coach holds you accountable for completing your work, on time, and up to your standards. And because your coaching fees put your skin in the game, you have an incentive to hold up your end of the deal.

I work with novelists and non-fiction writers, including memoirists and inspirational authors, through all stages of manuscript production to get their projects launched, flowing, finished, and out the door.

Every project has a beginning, a middle, and an end. But each finished project is the end of a new beginning.

Coaching rates start at $100 per hour. Flat fee arrangements are also available.

Sessions are conducted in person, on Skype or other video communication platforms, or by phone.

Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
